Amazing food! A little expensive but definitely worth it. It was amazing to watch the chef cook in front of you. The service was also wonderful.
01/24/26 The food was delicious and the server and staff were wonderful. A guy sitting at the table, in front of us had his gun 🔫 in a holster, why bring a gun 🔫 to a restaurant 😳.
This was such a great restaurant! We did not do the hibachi grill but rather just sat and got sushi and ordered from the grill. The service was exceptional. The staff was so friendly and was so on top of everything. As you can see in the photos I have attached, the sushi displays were beautiful and delicious. The first photo I attached was actually a children's meal and it was very large!! I highly recommend going to this place because every penny was worth it because the restaurant was clean, the staff was friendly (especially with children), the food was delicious, and the food was served quickly without the sacrifice of quality.
I love the hibachi vegetables as well as the teriyaki tofu and brown rice. They’re always quick with the service whenever I go. Unless, you’re sitting at the hibachi table waiting for others to join…
Had lunch on our anniversary trip to New Orleans. Even though TripAdvisor showed it as closed, it was open with the restriction of having to wear a mask to enter. We ordered the Chicken, Shrimp, and Angus Steak for Couples. Our Hibachi chef was hilarious. Very good performer. The food was served in a bizarre order. We had the Steak on our plate first, the rice was next, then the shrimp, then the vegetables, and the chicken was last. Not sure how I felt about that, but the food was very good. The chicken was a little tough but still tasted good. Overall, I enjoyed the entire experience. I would highly recommend this location!

Me and my wife have gone here since we first starting dating over fourteen years ago. The owner has always taken care of us and the restaurant looks great for it's age. I love the adult drinks and the staff. It's my first choice for hibachi style dining in Montgomery although I prefer the dining room over the grill. My favorite ginger dressing in town also and it's great with the steak.
Loved the food here especially the sushi. Would love to come back again with more friends. Service was great and the environment was nice. Gave us good recommendations. Update: came back again after 7 months. Took the girl I liked here for the first date and we are together now officially. Definitely gotta keep coming here. Tried the out of control rolls and kabuki special roll. Both were absolutely amazing. And the service has gotten even better.
I have eaten here a few times. The staff is friendly and answers any questions you have. I have only ordered to go and it is ready within 20 minutes. The food is always fresh and hot. They give you a good portion size for the price. Their onion soup is best I've had at any Japanese restaurant. Their regular steak is ok but a little dry. The filet is better, but I still think they could get better cuts of filet and add a little more flavor to it. The vegetables are always cooked well.
Great food and excellent experience Kabuki Japanese Steakhouse on Vaughn Rd is always a great choice. The food is fresh, flavorful, and well prepared, whether you’re ordering hibachi or sushi. The chefs do a great job with both the cooking and the presentation, making it a fun experience as well. Service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is clean and welcoming for families or groups. Portions are generous and everything comes out hot and delicious. Highly recommended if you’re looking for a solid Japanese steakhouse in Montgomery.
This was my second time visiting Kabuki and I had a very enjoyable experience. We were able to be seated promptly and the server that was assigned to our area was very knowledgeable about the menu. Our water glasses were topped off at least 3 times in the 30 minutes and the food was presented well. I like when a restaurant takes time for presentation and that is why I gave 5 stars.
The service, food, and atmosphere were of good quality. I had the empire roll and teriyaki salmon box. They were excellent selections!

I absolutely love this place. A group of us went there to have a good meal some people were craving sushi so we decided to go check this place out and just have a good experience. The staff was very good at what they do, they were very attentive very friendly had great knowledge of all the food there. Our chef was fantastic he was very skilled cook and we had a lot of fun. I highly suggest this place if you want to go grab some great food have a great show and a good time with your friends or your family.
I've visited this place 3 times in 1 month. I love the Hibachi Salmon. That's my go-to, along with sushi! I've sat in front of the Hibachi Grill, which is entertaining. I noticed that they add gratuity automatically when you sit there. I've also sat in the regular dining area. Love the variety of adult drinks to choose from as well! The only thing that keeps them from getting 5 stars, they use a lot of oil and a LOT of butter on the food. I love the food, but I won't be coming too often because of that reason alone. It'll have to serve as a treat of an outing. My arteries need a little break😅 Other than that, CHEF'S KISS! 😙🤌🏾
The experience was nice. The health score was 89, which is low for me. I didn't see it because it wasn't posted on the wall. It was propped up behind the counter. The lemon drop martini was a 5/10.
Visited on Friday 2/13/25- customer service was excellent, no waiting. I was not very please with my dish- I ordered vegetable fried rice- while the food tasted great, I had more onions than any of the other vegetables. I ended up moving all of the onions to the side of my plate, which left only a few pieces of broccoli (pieces not a single floret ) -strips of mushrooms and I guess small pieces of zucchini.
Came here for work lunch and did the hibachi lunch menu. Went with the shrimp hibachi with rice and vegetables. The rice portion was huge and I chose not to eat it all, vegetable portion was average but was disappointed with only receiving 6 shrimp. I guess that’s their lunch portion consists of but would have been nice to have a couple more. Service was reasonably quick and staff was friendly. For lunch, you are looking with drink and before tip about $15 to $20 per person. If I was over this way more often, it may be a place I would visit but since I’m not close by, I wouldn’t be able to visit often.
We went right around 1:45 or 2 and they were so eager to get us out of there. The chef was clearly unhappy to be serving us. My kids and I went to the restroom when we were finished and when we came out all the lights were off and the employees had their keys in hand waiting for us to leave. I know they were eager to get out there, but it was just unprofessional and made us not want to return. Just sharing our experience.
Paid over $40 for a bunch of rice. And the soup and salad is "complimentary", why am I paying over $40 for a plate of rice and scoop of meat?? Oh, I didn't get my soup and salad either; They offered it on my next order which comes free lol Rip off!
was very disappointed with my experience at Twins of Kabuki. I arrived before the stated closing time of 3:00 PM with three children, expecting to receive service at the grill. Despite arriving before closing, we were denied service due to a time constraint that was never communicated beforehand. I expressed my concern to staff, especially given the effort involved in preparing to arrive on time with children, but we were still refused service. If this establishment is advertised as open until 3:00 PM, there should be clear notice of when the last orders are accepted. The website provides no such information, which makes this experience even more frustrating. Customer service was extremely poor—easily a 0 out of 10. Clear communication and consideration for customers would go a long way, especially for families who plan their visit based on posted hours.
The server we had was very inattentive. Once the order was taken and the gentleman came out to begin to cook I notice items were left off for my meal( it was only 2 of us sitting there) I told the chef and he told the server the server then proceeded to bring chicken out and we were missing shrimp. I was supposed to have soup and my colleague had a salad needed less to say neither was brought out and when asked he said he would fix it to go🤦🏾♀️ 2 to go salads were brought out. The chef was good and food was delicious. I told the server you get a tip and your service was horrible and its reply was it will better next time….. no it won’t because I’ll spend my money somewhere else.
Yesterday my husband ordered two large fried rice with shrimp and egg,no eggs the rice not cooked all the way the shrimp is horrible, overall it was nasty and it cost almost $32:00 we will never go there again
